Kelli:
Can you provide a list of tools that people can use to post content to multiple sites like Digg, LinkedIn, Tumblr, YouTube, Slide, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, etc.? I am really intrigued by your post and am looking for ways to integrate your suggestion into our social media plan.

Thanks,
Synolve

As I would tell clients in my customer service seminars, "It's always cheaper to make a customer happy than it is to make him angry." Apparently United Airlines never sent anyone to one of my sessions. But I think they have learned the hard way.

These directions are for brand pages, correct? Is it possible to add FBML to personal profiles? I've looked around but can't find a workaround for this...

Good checklist, thank you.
I don't think blogs are dead (nor will be in the near future). Mixed to many me-centered blogs there are extremely valuable blogs in almost any domain. As far as I can see, blogs are still thriving. Together with Twitter those are the two most reliable sources to be updated and for alive discussion.

To your interesting checklist, I would add:
-before the second one: "Seduce your colleagues to contribute to the blog" It's not easy nor quick to achieve staff engagement, but it's crucial in order to provide a richness of perspectives.
-"Invite to comment, end your post with one or two open questions"
-to the content point, I'd add: "Write about a variety of subjects and/or take different approaches within the range of a particular domain. Alternater behind-the-scenes stories with breaking news, comments on readings, etc. and, most important, add a touch of humor now and then" ;)

You also could consider to integrate - on your own webpages - a web application to automatically identify and qualify the companies that visit your website.
So you'll obtain every day a qualified list of fresh b2b leads and you could automatically deliver them to your sales networsk, to optimize and support their efforts.
A 20-days free trial is also available here: http://www.domodomain.com/ppc/index.html
